Katherine Brooks

Marcelle’s done some great work on my house, a 1924 California Bungalow. She’s fixed up work done by a previous carpenter who wasn’t terribly careful, and wanted to do things his way without any consultation or discussion. She’s also installed a double-glazed window and a door and reinstated a section of plate rail removed by a previous owner. Whenever there was a possibility of doing things more than one way, Marcelle would always ask what I was looking for; what I wanted it to look like, or how I wanted it to work. I’m doing some (non-carpentry) work myself, which is slowing things down, but Marcelle’s accommodating me. She always responds quickly and cheerfully to my emails. I’m pleased to be working with Marcelle, and I’m happy to recommend her.
